Bearing failure can have several causes. For example, one possible cause is that the load during operation is too heavy. In this case, the service life is reduced as well if there are imbalances or vibrations. This is when unusual noises or wear announce the end of the equipment's useful life. Damage can also be caused by dirt or moisture. Insufficient lubrication prevents the lubricant from spreading optimally, which also damages the bearing. The same goes for applying an unsuitable or old lubricant. Correct bearing lubrication is essential to extend the life of the equipment.

Lubrication can extend the life of the equipment

More than half of bearing failures can be avoided with correct lubrication. By installing lubrication systems, continuous lubrication with fresh lubricant is always guaranteed. At the same time, they prevent the entry of water, dirt and dust, which extends the useful life of the equipment. Setting the lubrication to room temperature, e.g in high temperatures, prevents insufficient or excessive lubrication from occurring.

For bearings exposed to strong vibrations, the installation of a remote mount is recommended. The replacement of the lubrication system is possible during the operation of the equipment. There is a large assortment of greases and oils to meet bearing requirements. Additionally, maintenance intervals can be planned in advance, which greatly facilitates maintenance work.
